Our services begin with a few praise songs to prepare us for corporate worship.
We then hear God call us to worship through his word and respond in prayer and a hymn of praise.
We are reminded of our need for grace and mercy and confess our sins as a congregation.
We respond to God’s cleansing grace with gratitude and offer prayers and offerings to Him.
As we prepare for the sermon, we sing together a hymn of preparation.
We hear God’s word and respond in song and receive a Scriptural benediction which commissions us to Kingdom service.
GVPC is committed to the ordinary means of grace: God’s Word, Prayer and Sacraments, as regular parts of worship.
Our sermons are expository in nature and our worship is not simply “warm up” to the sermon, but embodies the entire congregation.
At GVPC, we offer many avenues for members and friends to participate in worshipping God. Our choir has been serving the church and community for decades. We have rotating groups of people who assist in our time of musical praise. We have ensembles which share the gift of music with local residents of retirement centers.
We do not simply view music as a production, but one of the ways God’s people offer a sacrifice of praise to Him!
